I got a "replacement product", a Sapphire Vapor-X back in the mail and this thing has worked exactly as it should. RMA took pretty much literally two hours from the point they received the card, and they sent me a new one. To no avail.Įventually I RMA'd the card (I can do that because the warranty by law here is tied to the product, not the buyer, doesn't matter if it goes through 1000 people as long as it is not an user error breaking the card). I had bought the card second-hand (the buyer was selling his sample which he got through RMA), but it was brand new for me - so naturally I did not want to go through the RMA process right away so I tried everything I could. Drivers, voltage controls, hell even downclocking didn't work. It was very unstable under stress, basically threw me a black screen fairly often and crashed the system. I cant guarantee that it wont overheat tho, just get a good brand I want him to be able to plug it in and forget about it basically. I am comparing these 2 cards because they are very similarly priced with an r9 290 running about 250$ and a gtx 960 4gig running about 239$. he has an i5 4460 so bottle necking isn't an issue.
ASUS VE247H NEWEGG HOW TO
He is new to the #pcmasterrace and doesnt really know how to diagnose issues and fix them on his own yet so i want to pick out a stable card for him one where the chances of him being forced to rma it are minimal.
ASUS VE247H NEWEGG DRIVER
My friend has an r9 270 and we have now been forced to rma it for artifacts twice and he has been plagued by random driver issues or over heating (yes the memory chips on r9 270s are known to over heat), everything from blue screens in the middle of raid to assassins creed black flag constantly causing him to crash. i know the r9 290 is so much faster and better and an amazing value. My wait paid off, and I saved enough to invest into a SSD.So i want to clarity this. Newegg has these on special almost every other email. Other Thoughts: If you're in the market for a monitor, or several, and have time to spare, hold off on these. No vertical adjustment, 3 in Eyefinity borderline overkill, lame speakers, condemned to eating noodles for the next month, but who cares? I certainly don't, neither should you! Bought another one, but need a bigger desk or triple monitor stand.what in the world is going on here?!? Purchased two of these for Eyefinity, but old Ultrasharp became sub par. Purchased a 1100w PSU, but was charmed by an Eyefinity setup. Purchased a bigger case, but needed a PSU with longer P1. Cheap, large, familiar name, bright, runs cooler than my old Ultrasharp, no dead pixels, VESA ready, what more could a gamer ask for?Ĭons: Upgraded to 6950, but needed a bigger case.
ASUS VE247H NEWEGG FREE
Pros: Got these at a steal with free shipping. Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Refurbished It would be nice for the speakers to be a little bit better but not a deal breaker.
ASUS VE247H NEWEGG PC
I can use pc card speakers that have more punch to them. The video quality is very good for me and the 23.5" display doesn't hurt either. Just little mini me quality but I didn't purchase it just for the speakers but also the digital quality output. The only fall back is the speakers are not that great.
A little cumbersome to get to but not that Important to cry about. I like the fact that the cables are inserted from the bottom and not from the back. It has a good stand and swivels easier that other monitors I've bought.
Up close the video seems a little grainy but look past that with hd TV's its about the same and just as good. All the features are good as I can expect being it's the first higher end monitor I've purchased. It's a nice monitor and is with a lot of things it takes has a learning curve to it's figured out.
